Child Care Resource & Referral serves parents, providers, employers, and the communities of Clatsop, Tillamook, & Columbia Counties. Staff provide information and referrals to over 700 families, resources, trainings and support to between 250 and 300 child care professionals. The mission of this program is to promote affordable, accessible, quality child care for every family. KIDCARE
PROGRAM
This is a certified, state licensed extended daycare after school program for children (K-6th grade) enrolled in public schools. A variety of structured and unstructured activities are offered daily and USDA approved snacks are provided. For more information call 503.366.6545.
CHILD & FAMILY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Head Start is a free comprehensive preschool for families with incomes at or below the federal poverty guidelines. Children must be three or four years old by September 1st to qualify. The program is comprehensive in that it includes nutrition, education, mental health, and medical/dental services for enrolled children. Healthy Start a free home visiting program that provides child development, prenatal and parenting information, tips on taking care of your infant, referrals to community groups and information on how to keep your baby and family safe. Parent Education & Support provides a variety of parenting training and parent support for residents of Columbia County and their families.
