RESPITE
& SENIOR
PROGRAMS
Respite Care is
temporary, short-term relief for family caregivers of children, adults, and
seniors, with disabilities, health care concerns, behavior problems, or other
special needs. Family Caregivers need to take a break on a regular basis to cope
with the stress of constant care giving. Respite care services include friendly
visiting, grocery shopping, light household assistance, meal preparation,
transportation, and reassurance calls.
The Senior program also has advocates at all five Senior Centers which are trained to connect seniors with services available through Older American Act.
Oregon Projects Independence program works to keep seniors in their homes by connecting them with providers to assist with personal housekeeping & chore maintenance. For more information call 503.366.6543.
