Oregon Foreclosure Avoidance Program

Gives Homeowners the opportunity to meet with their lender to negotiate a foreclosure avoidance measure.

  • Resolution Conference required prior to judicial or non-judicial foreclosure proceedings
  • Ends “dual tracking” process
  • Homeowner must be “at risk” – able to show hardship or in default on mortgage
  • Grantor (homeowner) or Beneficiary (lender) requests resolution conference (first notice then sent)
  • Grantor must pay a fee ($175) (reduced fee for low income grantors) within 25 days
  • Grantor must meet with a Housing Counselor (Local Agency for Clatsop, Columbia and Tillamook Counties is Community Action Team, Inc.)
  • Grantor and Beneficiary exchange documents
  • Resolution Conference within 75 days of first notice
